Blanche Moore:
2021 Henrico Christmas Mother
The Henrico Christmas Mother organization has been providing food, new clothing, books, toys and other gift items to qualifying Henrico County families during the holiday season for almost 80 years. The honor to represent this group and help oversee the operations has been given to a phenomenal Delta woman. The Henrico Christmas Mother Council proudly announced the appointment of Blanche Moore, a proud member of the Richmond Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated, as the 2021 Henrico Christmas Mother. Blanche has been a resident of Henrico County for the past 48 years; she is a proud alumni of Virginia Union University. Blanche has worked for IBM, GE, Job Corps, and Henrico County Public Schools.
In 2015, after retiring from HPCS, Blanche joined the Henrico Christmas Mother Council as an annual member. She has displayed her excellent leadership skills in a variety of positions, including Recording Secretary, Historian, and Co-Chair of the Books Committee.
