Richmond, Virginia, affectionately known as the River City or RVA, is located on the James River in the heart of Virginia. As the capital of Virginia, Richmond is centrally located, two hours from the Shenandoah Mountains and Atlantic Ocean, two hours from Washington, DC and less than two hours from North Carolina.
